Repair advice and parts for Catalina 250WB

New Catalina 250WB owner here with a damaged mast, buying new isn't an option, but I have metalworking tools at work. I heard factory masts come in two pieces with internal sleeves, I am looking for a sleeve, manufacturer info, mast profile, or used/blank masts to repair or modify, any leads?

Great idea! Those masts are made of two pieces with a sleeve inside. You should check with Catalina parts or a Selden dealer for the right sleeve size or maybe a used piece. You might even find a matching part from another trailer sailer. Do you have the measurements of the mast profile? That'll make it easier to figure things out.

Have you been able to measure your Catalina 250WB mast's exact diameter, wall thickness, and material type so we can determine whether fabricating a custom internal sleeve or finding a used replacement is feasible?

Thanks for the advice, I haven't measured the mast yet. I can get the diameter, wall thickness, and length soon. Do you think Selden or Catalina parts would have exact sleeve dimensions available?

Not yet, but I can measure the diameter, wall thickness, and length soon. Once I have those, would it be easier to fabricate a custom sleeve myself or try to source a used one that fits?
