From wheel to tiller

Just got a Catalina 27 and can I swap the wheel steering for a tiller? Has anyone done this on a similar boat? any advice?

Yep, you can change a Catalina 27 to a tiller. A lot of folks have done it. You just need to take out the pedestal, connect a tiller head to the rudder post, and fix up the cockpit floor

Bear in mind that the tiller can affect the balance and the handling so make sure that you size it correctly. You know that you are going to lose some cockpit space right?
