I walked across an ad in my neighborhood and I'm thinking of getting this 1989 C22. I just have some questions before I do it. I think it's worth checking out since the owner scheduled my appointment to do so over the weekend. I need to check a couple things, right? What do I need to tinker with on the spot to make sure it's a good deal?

Search up catalina 22 buyers guide. Theres a downloadable file you can check that helps with things when buying a used one. Hope this helps.

Such an exciting moment, isn't it? good luck with this! For me, of course you need to check the electrical wirings, make sure they're not corroded or cut. and oh, leaks! Check for leaks. you might wanna bring someone who knows alot about boats to help you check, too

Look closely for any hull damage or soft spots, check the sails and rigging and make sure the engine runs well, best to bring a mechanic or an expert if you dont know your way around these engines. Don't forget to inspect the electronics and look inside for leaks or water damage. If you can, take it for a quick sail to see how it handles. These quick checks surely will help you know if it's a good deal or not.
